The u3a primarily brings together people who have finished working full time or raising their family to develop interests and to continue learning in informal and supportive environments.
The focus is on sharing and learning from each other.
There is no lower age limit for membership and people who are working part time may join.
We offer a range of activities, catering for a wide range of interests. All are lead by members.
We hold monthly meetings and events which are open to all members between September and May with a break over Christmas and New Year. These normally take place on the third Wednesday of the month.
Whole Group meetings take place in the Tryst and start at 2.00 with a short presentation followed by time for discussion.
New members and potential members are welcome.
In addition to our whole group talks, we also offer special interest groups which are led by one of our members - the emphasis is on learning from each other and having fun while doing so.
