Professor Hazel Hall will be speaking about Lorna Lloyd and her Diary of the War.

Hazel is an Emeritus Professor, Edinburgh Napier University, and a fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh.
Lorna Lloyd was a young school teacher who started writing her ‘Diary of the War’ on the 1st of September 1939.
Eighty years later Hazel started sharing Lorna’s entries on a daily basis on Blipfoto, a social media platform. This was followed by a podcast series combining extracts from Lorna’s diary with contemporaneous broadcast and print news reports.
In this talk Hazel will speak about the transformation of Lorna’s diary into the two digitised formats, the outcomes of completing these projects, and how the audience for the two online versions of the diary have engaged in different ways with Lorna’s work
Hazel's talk will be followed by refreshments (tea/coffee and biscuits) and time for informal discussion.
Please do come along and join us for what promises to be an interesting afternoon
